THANK YOU SENATOR JIM DeMINT

South Carolina is proud of Senator Jim DeMint who lead the opposition to the Senate Amnesty Bill along with Republican Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions. His steadfast commitment to preventing this bill from gaining passage has resulted in the death of a bad bill that would have rewarded illegals, not secured the border and allowed the flood to continue without any way of stopping the invasion.

While SC is disgusted with our Senior Senator Lindsay Graham and his support for the bill we thank Senator DeMint for standing for the principles and the Constitution in which we sent him to Washington to serve.

That will be the last time the Liberals try to hijack our President and get him to go over to thier side for some cockamaymee Kennedy/McCain bill that no one wanted!!

CAN WE BUILD THE FENCE, SEND THE DRONES, PUT UP THE CAMERAS AND SEND THE NATIONAL GUARD NOW?

I'm certainly glad the bill is dead, but thanks for the laugh Marie.

Liberals trying to hijack Bush. Good one. That is truly hilarious. Yeah, we put him under our secret mind control program so that he would regularly ramble on in his many public speeches about his love and support for amnesty. bill. We really got him and even

Better yet, why not just blame it on Clinton. He must have slipped Bush something.

We should also thank all the people who flooded their offices with phone calls, e-mails and letters. THANKS!

Nice try Rob... I suppose that was Bush staying up all night in secret with Ted Kennedy writing 300+ page amendments that no one ever read before they were debated?

Hey, guys. Sorry for the abscense. Grahm is an embarASSment and a black mark on the state of South Carolina.

I guess I can't say much since Ron Paul is allegedly from Texas. We don't believe that, but they keep telling us he is a Texan.

Concerned Citizen, Ron Paul is not a real Texan, thanks be to God! He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and migrated to Texas in 1968 with his wife.

Yeah Mike. You are right. Bush did not really, really want to push through amnesty. He didn't actually order his Commerce Secretary and Homeland Security Secretary to stand at the door of the Senate to lobby Republican Senators to support amnesty as they entered the floor of the Senate to cast their votes.

He told them to do that because he was in a hypnotic trance brought on by the evil control spell of the dark lords of liberalism.

I realize that some of you don't actually believe in personal responsibility. If you did, you would not make up so many lame excuses for the President.

While I am reserved in admitting it I have to agree with rob on this one. The President blew it and he was championing amnesty wich is amazing coming from a former Texas Governor.

I would equally accept the evil control of the Dark Lords of Liberalism. Let us not forget, once you start down the path of Liberalism, forever will it dominate your destiny.

The amnesty nonsense was bad for the country and there were plenty of folks on both sides of the aisle that would have pushed it through if the American people hadn't spoken.

CC, I like Yoda reference. Good one. Have a nice weekend.

Rob,

So which Clinton do you think slipped Bush the Mickey?

The Shrill or Slick Willie?

Bill cozied up to Bush Sr. in an effort to gain his confidence. Then in a cruel twist he used that goodwill and trust against him.

W would not have allowed Bill near him. So Bill must have hypnotized Bush Sr. and used his Liberal Jedi mind trick to have Bush Sr. drop a super potent amnesty pill in W's drink. That is how W was hijacked by liberals. He no longer had any free will and should be absolved of all responsibility. There is no other possible explanation that makes any sense.

methinks Rob doth protest too much.

We all know who wrote that heinous bill and it wasn't BUSH.

But like a typical Democrat, Rob will NEVER accept responsibility.

He's too busy with one way fingerpointing and lies even to himself.

Sad.

Mike, what are you talking about? Where am I protesting? I said I am glad the bill is dead.

In fact, I have said amnesty was a horrible idea and I have said that anyone who supported it was wrong. Go back and look what I wrote months ago on this blog about the issue. Long-time readers know I have never supported the ridiculous notion that Dems and Republicans have been pushing.

Dude, you are the one who cannot accept the fact that Bush was horribly wrong. You will push off blame to the Dems and make excuses rather than just accept the truth - Bush was one of the leading voices for amnesty. The guy even called Republicans who did not support it, unpatriotic. Do you seriously believe that Bush was not out in front of the amnesty issue? Do you believe he bears no responsibility?

You are being absolutely ridiculous when you say I won't accept responsibility. I didn't support amnesty and never have, so what do you want me to take responsibility for?

Please, enlighten me on what I need to take responsibility for.
