HILDABEAST NOT WANTED
In a recent CNN/Gallup poll, (the pollster that the left loves since it usually slants in their favor), 51% of those polled said the would NOT vote for the Hildabeast for President in 2008. Only 16% in the sampling said they would vote for her. Her isolation from her liberal base continues as 1/3 of liberals taking the poll said they would not vote for her. 60% of men do not want her and a surprising 43% of women said the same! It would seem that her false move to the middle is not working and is also backfiring as she is losing her base. I realize that we are still more than two years from the election a quite a lot can change between now and then but this certainly CANNOT be good news for the Hildabeast as she continues to position herself for the 08 Presidential run. Her dilemma: to run or not to run. At least at this time it seems that she would lose in a landslide to an unknown Republican opponent. Hmmm the perceived ultimate SOMEBODY losing to a NOBODY. My heart bleeds for the poor baby! The Hildabeast Watch continues.

Her numbers are better than those for the President and way better than the Republican Congress as a whole. However, it is waaaaay too early for this poll to have any meaning.
If I were betting former Governor Mark Warner of Virginia is going to get the nod - but again, it is way to early.
Don't be decieved. 42% said they would consider her.
And if Senator John McCain runs for the Republicans, there won't be a whole lot of difference anyway.

I too realize it's way to early. Mark, I don't think McCain will get the nod because he's not popular with conservatives. George Allen has a better chance if Condi doesn't run. Rob, I agree with your Mark Warner idea. Hillary and Dean don't get along but that won't stop her from trying!

It is too early for this poll to have much meaning. Remember, we thought after Clinton's first term that we could unseat him, and it didn't. Who knows what the true nature of his relationship is with her, but the bottom line is that he is a political master when it comes to wooing the public, and she is just getting started.
McCain needs to retire quietly. He may be a Republican, but he isn't a conservative and he is too middle of the road...actually, he is too unpredictable. I can't imagine a more wishy-washy administration. I think a run for him would be political suicide.
Mark Warner is a good name, but its early. I am looking at George Allen more closely. I don't think Condi runs, at least this time.
McCain isn't a conservative? Other than social issues, how is Bush a conservative?
McCain is the epitome of why the GOP is not doing what we want them to do. Thee is a small group of left wing republicans who go off the reservation for their own political posturing, and dilute the red states majority.
I have issues with the GOP and their (refusal or failure, I am not sure which it is at this point) to cement tax cuts, reduce government, and cut social spending. They need to consolidate and decide what their issues will be and how they will actually accomplish them.
On a positive note, it does show how much room there is in the GOP for diversity of opinion, unlike the Dems. Lieberman is a prime example. He is anathema to Pelosi and crowd.
