The Liberal Lie, The Conservative Truth

Exposing the Liberal Lie through current events and history. “Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but the democrats believe every day is April 15.” ****** "We will always remember. We will always be proud. We will always be prepared, so we may always be free." RONALD REAGAN

PRESIDENT BUSH - DIVERSITY IN THE HIGH COURT ?

Stating today that,"diversity is one of the strengths of the country," the President hinted that the next Supreme Court nominee may be a woman or a member of a minority. As the President looks for the replacement of retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor he is receiving pressure from all sides to pick a woman or minority. Yet as we found with the nomination of John Roberts, Bush chooses his nominees based on their qualifications to sit on the High Court. Nearly every expert agrees that Roberts is one of the best qualified nominees to ever be appointed to the court. Two thirds of 100 Senators have already indicated that they will vote to confirm Judge Roberts thus making his confirmation a near certain probability. Even though the vote crosses party lines there is still some opposition to Roberts by the left so his confirmation is not yet absolute, but most agree that he will be on the court when the next session begins October 3. In a related story, (http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewNation.asp?Page=\Nation\archive\200509\NAT20050926b.html) , the Bush administration has requested that the Supreme Court reinstate the federal ban on partial - birth abortion. The case is expected to be on the court docket in November which will be one of the first cases presided over by Judge Roberts if he is confirmed. The left is shaking in their boots over the possibility that a more conservative court will over turn Roe vs Wade so I'm sure that this case will attract a great deal of attention when the court hears it especially with a Chief Justice Roberts on the bench!
