My friends, I have always thought that the Watergate fiasco meant so much more than just a simple political victory. When the news of Deepthrought emerged in the past week, I began thinking about Alger Hiss, and his role in American history. Not knowing much on the subject I asked my good friend Ken Taylor about him. I knew that Nixon helped to bring him down, But that was all I knew. When I found out about his influence and power in the state department under FDR, The Yalta Conference, and the history of the polarizing figure, I knew I had to research more about his trail.
